Domestic Violence is any alleged criminal wrongdoing or offense which occurs between parties who have been involved with each other in terms of sexual intimacy, dating, co-habitating, marriage and/or having children together. Our mission is to effectively prosecute and/or address the overall community problem of Domestic Violence by holding the perpetrator accountable for his/her actions and by promoting the safety, well-being and/or best interests of the victim, the victim’s child(ren) and the community at large.
If you or someone you know has been a victim of a crime...
- Contact 911 if you or someone you know is in immediate danger and needs assistance.
- Report incidents to the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Sheriff’s Department, New Haven Police Department or the Indiana State Police.
- Develop a Safety Plan.
- Obtain an Order of Protection.
- Seek additional resources available in our community that you and/or your family may be in need of to continue to support your self sufficiency.
